Access

Login

The B-Digital platform can be accessed from https://b-digital.bdo.co.za/ . To login, enter your email address and password and select the sign-in button.


Forgot Password

If a user has forgotten their password, the user can select the Forgot Password link which will allow the user to change their password.

You will be directed to a page where you are required to enter your email address and select the Submit button, instructions will be sent to you on how to reset your password


Reset Password

You can reset your password by selecting the Reset Password option from the drop-down displayed when you click on your name in the main menu bar.

Once accessed, you can enter a new password and your password will be automatically reset.


Signing Out

To sign out, click your name in the main menu bar and select the sign-out link at the bottom of the drop-down list.

Homepage

Once logged in, the user will be directed to the home page where they are able to access the apps available to them.


Switching Organisations

A user can switch to a different organisation/client by selecting the “Switch Organisation” link when they select their name on the top right-hand corner

A list of Available profiles will pop-up, select the profile you wish to work on and then select the Switch Profile button


Main Menu Bar

The main menu bar is displayed on all sections of the platform and contains important links that help you get around quickly.

The main menu bar hosts these common links:

1. Home- Click the “Home” link to get back to the main landing page

2. Service Desk- If you ever need help with any part of the platform, just click this link, You will be able to access a lot of useful information, including the contact details of your organisation administrator.

3. Notifications- When important information needs your attention, you will see notifications by clicking on the icon. When you have unread notifications, you will see the counter appear on this icon.

4. Tasks- If there are any tasks that you need to perform on the platform or one of the webapps, you will see all your tasks by clicking on this icon. When you have open tasks, you will see a counter appear on this icon.

5. Your profile- If you click this menu item, you will be able to access your personal profile where you can change your details, add your own photo and lots more. You will also be able to view details for your employer organization. You can also use this menu to change your password or quickly log out of the platform. This will be covered in the user manual below.


Tasks & Notifications

Notifications
Notifications alert the user of any actions or updates that require their attention. Notifications created for you by the platform or any of the webapps are accessible via the “Notifications” icon in the main menu bar. Access the notifications by clicking the notifications icon in the main menu bar.

Mark a notification as read

To dismiss a notification, simply click the check box alongside it, a line will be placed through the notification. To update the list after you have marked all notifications as read, simply reload the page.

All tasks assigned to you are accessible via the “Tasks” icon in the main menu bar.

Tasks
Tasks alert a user of any items that require action from the user. All tasks assigned to you are accessible via the “Tasks” icon in the main menu bar. Access the tasks by clicking the tasks icon in the main menu bar.

Mark a task as completed

All outstanding tasks are displayed in the Tasks list. To dismiss a task, simply click the check box alongside it, a line will be placed through the task.


WebApps

The apps menu below provides quick links to the bundled webapps available on your organisation's version of the platform. The links that are available to you are dependent on what your employer has chosen to display, but these links will generally include:

  • BDO Audit Delivery System
  • Findings Manager
  • Questionnaire Application
  • Polls Application

My Profile

My Profile

Use My Profile to set and manage your personal details that are used across the platform. Access your profile by clicking on your name in the main menu.

If you want to change any of the following details on this screen, select one of the icons

Personal Details

This panel displays:

  • Your name and surname
  • Your bio - use this space to write a short paragraph describing yourself in a professional context

Contact Details

This panel displays:

  • Your primary contact number
  • Your email address

Employment Details

This panel displays all of your work-related details including department, office, line manager and assistant.


Profile Picture

If you click the edit button on this panel, you will be able to upload three versions of your profile picture (small, medium and large).


My Employer

My Employer

The employer page allows the user to access information regarding their employer. These details can only be edited by the organization administrator. To access the “My Employer” tab, select your name in the main menu bar and select “My Employer”.

My Employer Screen

This screen presents the details of your organisations such as the Name, Location and Industry of your organisation

If any of the details are incorrect, please contact an administrator


Contact Details

This panel displays:

  • Your organisation’s primary contact number
  • Your organisation’s system administrator
  • Your organisation’s calendar administrator

Financial Information

This panel displays your organisations financial information such as;

  • The company registration number
  • The organisation’s VAT number
  • The financial year end
  • The organisation’s tax rate

Organization Access Lists

Users will be able to view the individuals that have access from their organisations to the platform based on their organisation selecting either Employees(Internal) or Contractors(External).

Access List Screen

Based in the selection made above(Employees/Contractors), a list of user profiles will be displayed showing information such as the Name, Office, Email Address, Contact Number and Status of profiles for the organisation.

A list of common issues (or questions) that are raised by users on a frequent basis and then provide the answers here. Items added here are available to users in the “Frequently Asked Questions” screen under the HELP menu.

Supporting Documents

Upload any documents that will assist users in understanding your organisation’s processes and policies. Items you add here are available to users in the “Helpful Documents” screen under the HELP menu.

Useful Links

You may wish to direct users to external sources for additional assistance or reference purposes. Items you add here are available to users in the “External Links” screen under the HELP menu.

Link that will take the user to a guild of how to work and use Engagement Manager.

General

Table Options

Copy
Use the Copy button () to copy the table for use in other applications or existing documentation.

CSV
Data within the tables can also be exported as a CSV file by selected the CSV button () below the table to prompt an automatic download of the CSV (.csv) file.

Excel
If preferred, the data within the tables can also be exported as an Excel file by selected the Excel button () below the table to prompt an automatic download of an Excel (.xlsx) file.

Print
The table can be exported as a PDF for printing or saving by selecting the Print button (). The document will open in a separate window and actions can be executed once the document loads.
